    Description of the route

The field exit will take place in the vicinity of the urban center of La Cabrera, delving into the piedemonte of the Sierra. It will allow us to have a view of the entire Sierra and learn more about its origin and geological modeling, associated vegetation and some centuries-old trees of interest in the area.

We will discover evidence of the uses that have been given to the different resources: Orchards, water catch-up, Stone, dry stone walls, Buoy dehesa... which are the memory of this landscape and the natural and cultural heritage that has come to us as a legacy and we can continue to keep alive.

Companion visit: If the tour is full-day, we recommend visiting the Convent of San Antonio and San Julian, que alberga la iglesia románica más antigua de la Comunidad de Madrid.
