The Jarama Valley
The municipality, formed by the urban centres of El Vellón and El Espartal, presents a winged landscape with slight undisandations, covered by a typical vegetation of holm oaks and junipers, and abundant aromatic species-rich thicket. An important point of natural interest is the Cueva de la Mora located in a place called Los Taberneros.
The richness of its heritage is shown in its religious architecture through the Church of Our Lady of the Assumption and the Hermitage of San Blas, and within its civil heritage stands out a watchtower or Muslim watchtower, the El Atazar Canal with different aqueducts, the Laundry room or the Hamlet of the Aldehuela, farm created by Cardinal Cisneros, of which some agricultural units are still retained.
